Local Artists

Contemporary Artwork For Sale - Northumberland Coastal Retreats

We love art. We love local contemporary art.  We love supporting local artists and have some exceptionally talented artist friends.

Northumberland Coast Retreats has joined forces with Northumberland based on-line gallery Art Evolution, to present you with the best the region has to offer in contemporary artwork. In addition, we show various local artists work on the walls of our cottages, some of which is available to purchase.

So, if you like what you see and it has a price on it, why not take it home with you at the end of your holiday?

You can leave us a cheque and take the artwork off the wall and put it straight into your car!!  If you prefer, we can arrange for the piece to be package and delivered by special delivery to your home, or if you are buying the present as a gift, then we can send it to the address of the lucky recipient!

We feature works by Alan Smith Page, Bill Hindmarsh, Mick Oxley, Ryden Astrop, Mike Bell, Kevin Westlake, Mike McFarlane, Sue Moffit and Garrod Kirkwood, David Holliday, Julie Hague & Karen Willis.

Some works are original, others are limited edition prints.  Some are on canvas, others are framed and some of Alan Smith Page's limited edition prints can be bought mounted and unframed.

There are several galleries in the area too including the new Mick Oxley gallery in Craster, just a few steps away from our cottages in Craster.  You must put this on your places to visit list. Not only does the gallery sell the most amazing Mick Oxley artwork but also on sale is some gorgeous handmade jewellrey by Green Tea and other bits of hand sculpted wooden furniture and wall hangings by other local artists.

Mick himself is normally in the gallery so introduce yourself and let him know that you are staying with Coastal Retreats. Mick is happy to offer a 10% discount on any of his original artwork at his gallery to all Coastal or Country Retreats guests
