Northumberland Walks

‘Walks on the Northumberland Coast’ is the ideal guidebook for visitors wishing to explore Northumberland’s spectacular coastline – an area that is rich in scenery, wildlife and history and still retains a wonderful sense of peace and tranquillity. The book covers the stretch of coast between Warkworth and Berwick and includes ten walks of between three and six miles in length that are suitable both for experienced walkers and for families wanting a pleasant stroll. For each walk there is a clear route map and detailed written directions so that there is no risk of losing your way. In addition, there is lots of information about features of interest encountered along the walk and some stunning photography to remind you, once you return home, that you should have stayed longer!

For more information go to www.northumberlandwalks.co.uk, where you can order the book on line.

Our friend David Haffey has written this book and we recommend the walks mentioned in his book. Over the years, we have done most of them with our children Polly aged11 and Phoebe aged 8.

Alternatively, during your stay at one our ‘Coastal Retreats’, you can buy it at the Tourist Information Centres in Berwick, Alnwick, Seahouses and Craster.
