Travelling north on the A1, passing the towns of Morpeth and Alnwick, take the next right turn AFTER the B6347 signposted to Christon Bank, Seahouses and Doxford Country Store. It is signposted to Preston Tower, Chathill, Ellingham and Doxford Hall. Continue along this country road until a T-junction is reached. Turn left here, it is signposted to Seahouses and Beadnell.

Continue through Chathill, over the railway crossing and into the hamlet of Swinhoe. Pass by our other cottages, Nook End and Driftwood that are on the left hand side of the road opposite the post box, and continue along this road towards the sea. Pass over the crossroads as you come out of Swinhoe.
Continue along this road with the sea on your righthand side. Pass the golf club on the right hand side, pass some new houses on the right hand side then opposite Thompsons Jet garage, before you reach the roundabout on the main street, take the right hand which leads to the harbour, this is called Dunstan View. As the road narrows, take the right hand turn into Taylor St with the pub on the corner. Take the next left turn into South St, pass the Swallow Fish smokery on the right and then park outside the blue cottage which is the Fisherman's Retreat



You will find a small black key safe by the blue gate leading into the cottage. You will be given the code and instructions for retrieving the key before your arrival.

Travelling south on the A1, passing Berwick and Bamburgh, take the turning left signposted to Preston Tower, Chathill, Ellingham and Doxford Hall. Continue as above.
