Travelling north on the A1, passing the towns of Morpeth and Alnwick, take the next right turn AFTER the B6347 signposted to Christon Bank, Seahouses and Doxford Country Store. It is signposted to Preston Tower, Chathill, Ellingham and Doxford Hall.
Continue along this country road until a T-junction is reached. Turn left here, it is signposted to Seahouses and Beadnell. Continue through Chathill, over the railway crossing and into the hamlet of Swinhoe. Take care on this road as there is a sharp bend and the road is quite narrow. The Bradshawgate Cottages are situated almost immediately on the left hand side of the road opposite the post box. (You’ll see a stone obelisk in the centre of a lawn to the front) Turning left into the driveway, Nook End is found at the end of the row of four stone cottages. Driftwood is next door. You can park in front of the garage directly opposite the cottage. There are spaces for two cars in front of each garage. The part of the drive directly in front of our gate is a turning circle for vehicles. For extra parking, you can use the gravelled area through the gate. This space is shared by the two cottages.
Travelling south on the A1, passing Berwick and Bamburgh, take the turning left signposted to Preston Tower, Chathill, Ellingham and Doxford Hall. Continue as above.
(If you reach the North Sunderland/Beadnell/Alnwick crossroads where there is a telephone box on the corner…you’ve gone too far!)
