Travelling north on the Al, passing the towns of Morpeth and Alnwick, take the right turn off the motorway, the B6347 signposted to Christon Bank, Seahouses (B1340) and Doxford Country Store.
Continue along this country road, following signs for Seahouses B1340, past the signs for Doxford Country Store, through Christon Bank, over the railway crossing here and keep heading towards Seahouses and the coast.
At the crossroads with the B1340, turn left towards Seahouses. Passing a few houses on the right hand side, passing Newton Barns, again on the right hand side of the road, continue along this road for about a mile. Suddenly you will come across a tight right hand bend with a left fork (there is a stone cottage on the right hand side of the bend). Take this left fork into Tughall Steads. This is a narrow farm lane and only leads into the Tughall Steads farming hamlet.
To reach Glebe Cottage… Passing the first set of cottages on the right hand side of the track, continue to the next right hand turn which takes you into a large open courtyard where you will see several neighbouring cottages. Glebe Cottage is on the left hand corner as you enter the courtyard. It is a two storey stone cottage, with a timber first floor elevation and a patio table and chairs by the front entrance.
