DIRECTIONS TO THE LOOK OUT
8 CHAPEL ROW, SEAHOUSES, NORTHUMBERLAND, NE68 7RL

From the A1, passing the towns of Morpeth and Alnwick from the south and Berwick and Bamburgh from the north, take the right turn signposted B6347 to Christon Bank 2 miles, Seahouses 10 miles, Rock 2 miles and Doxford Country Store. Continue along this country road, a few farm buildings and then the Doxford Country Store signpost on your left. After about a mile, take the right hand turn signposted Seahouses B6347 9 miles.
This will take you through Christon Bank village, over the railway crossing and past the Blink Bonnie pub and restaurant. Continue on this road and then take the main left turn at the T-junction. It is signposted B1340 Beadnell, Seahouses, Bamburgh and Tughall.
Passing the left turn to Tughall Steads on the sharp bend, continue further on this road until you reach the next T-junction. Turn right towards Beadnell, Seahouses, Bamburgh and the coast. Keep driving along this road towards the sea, passing the village of Beadnell and then entering the village of Seahouses.

You will pass the golf club on your right hand side and a new housing development also on your right and the JET garage on your left. Continue on this road to the roundabout and turn right into the main street of Seahouses. At the small roundabout with the cenotaph in the centre, take the right turning off the roundabout and then the immediate right turn into Chapel Row. The Olde Ship Hotel is on the corner here. Follow this small road along to the left and you will see the Look Out on your left hand side about half way along. There is parking for one car here at the front door. This door takes you into the kitchen/living/dining room on the 3rd floor of the Look Out. The key safe is here to the left of this entrance door.

If you have a second or third car then you will need to park on the harbour road at the entrance to the Look Out on the ground floor. At the Olde Ship Hotel, instead of turning right into Chapel Row, continue down the small windy hill with the Olde Ship Hotel on your right hand side with the sea in front of you. Turn right on to the harbour road and continue along past our cottage called The Plaice and several other houses on the right hand side of the road. The Look Out is about half way along, about 6 houses from The Plaice. There is space here to park 2 cars directly in front of the front door and the white garage door. The key safe though is at the other entrance door on the 3rd floor.

The keysafe box will be found on the wall of the cottage, at eye level, to the left of the front door. If you are arriving at night, please bring a torch with you! Remove the black weatherproof cover and enter the digits you have been given (on the separate sheet) and you will find the key inside. Replace the cover of the keysafe by entering again the digits. Put the black weatherproof cover back on.
