With its prime location opposite St Ebba’s Church in the centre of Beadnell village, this bijou newly built stone end terrace epitomises coastal chic. Opposite St Ebba's church, this small and exclusive corner of the village is named Smugglers Cove – in the 18th century Beadnell was a favourite haunt of smugglers, evading customs officers to bring rum and gin ashore. Smugglers’ Hide is ideally placed for access to the beach, rock pools and the gin and rum of the village pubs! The interior is light and airy and the décor is a background of crisp white with splashes of original artwork and nautical quirks.

Small families and couples where a central location is preferred. Please note that there are some parts of the first floor where headroom is slightly restricted due to eaves of the roof

Coastal Retreats Candid Comments ( Giving you the only down sides we can think of about a property before you book!)

This backs on to a small private caravan park which can be seen from the rear windows in kitchen, one bedroom and the small ground floor bedroom. The house faces away from this so is hardly an issue.
There is only room for a travel cot in the second bedroom
There is a washer/dryer rather than a separate tumble dryer.

' We loved this new addition to the Coastal Retreats collection. The Smugglers' is in a great location, the decor is fresh and unusual and our kids especially loved the spotty twin bedroom and the large flat screen TV' ............Peter Anderson

'Compact, well designed, extremely comfortable, beautifully presented, ideal location for us'.... Young family

' We had a fantastic week at Smuggler’s Hide! The cottage is very impressive – so modern and beautifully fitted out (much better equipped than home in fact!) – and we really loved Beadnell and the surrounding villages! The beaches are lovely and unspoilt and we had great weather which showed them off to best advantage! I think we’ll certainly go back at some point and will certainly be recommending Coastal Retreats to our friends! Thanks also for the lovely extras - the cava, cake, milk and so on which were really appreciated'

'A great little cottage in a great location. Perfect for us. Our friends were in Sailors Snug which worked well for us' . Next time we will invite another family who can stay in the Bolthole then we can all be together but separate!'
