Situated in the centre of Beadnell village (well known by water sport enthusiasts) and ideally placed for walking to the beach, harbour, village store and the village pubs, this newly built double fronted stone cottage has character and is extremely well equipped.
The Mariner's is located in the grounds of a country house which has recently been converted into luxury apartments and sits alongside a handful of other cottages looking out towards a large lawn area and the historical St Ebba's Church beyond. For a small village, Beadnell has several facilities including the newly refurbished Craster Arms hotel with its garden and restaurant, the Beadnell Towers Hotel, again with tables and chairs for outside eating, the village store, On the Beach - for fish and chips and its own small sailing club. The beach is superb and well used by families, walkers, divers, kite surfers, bird watchers and those with boats, jet skis,
X sails
and sea kayaks.
Mariner's is generously equipped, unpretentious, exceptionally comfortable and has a light, contemporary feel. Ideal for families and couples alike, who want to be within walking distance of the sea and local facilities.

Coastal Retreats Candid Comments (Giving you the only down sides we can think of about a property before you book!)
In a handy village location, the Mariner's backs on to the small car park of the Craster Arms. Handy though for a bar meal and a pint and also very convenient for walking to the beach
. The house has a w
asher/dryer rather than a separate tumble dryer

'This was our 3rd visit to Mariners. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We love everything about the cottage and will hopefully return next year.'
'Dearest Sue, Thank you ever so much for being so accomodating with our requests. We have had a truly magical time. Love and Best wishes.....'
'Very, very nice, you have thought of everything'.
'The accommodation exceeded my expectations...which is always a good start! The sun shone and the Northumberland coastline was truly breathtaking. Everything had been thought of and catered for at the Mariners. It was really refreshing staying somewhere that had all the toddler equipment there already, not to mention the toy bags, books and DVDs'
I met with Fiona and saw the Moo House, which again I have to say I thought was fabulous'. Zoe Jobson, Marketing Manager,

'I want to say how totally impressed we were with the cottage, we've stayed in a lot over the years, mainly National Trust and you have done all the things we've always said should be done....down to the perfectly chosen books for our children by their beds. We had a great holiday. It's been years since we've been to the Northumberland coast and it was better than we remembered. We will definately be back, and I'll be telling all my friends about you'
'Wish all our self catering cottages over the years had been like this. There wasn't one thing to fault or complain about. The Mariner's was perfect for our Christmas holiday'
'This was our 3rd time at Mariner's and we have just booked another stay for 2012'
