HARBOUR MASTER'S HOUSE, CRASTER VILLAGE   Group C   3 bedrooms   Sleeps 4 plus 2 children (Plus space for 1 cot)

5 star graded by VisitBritain 2008

A quirky renovated salt store for the village smokery and now a wonderful holiday home with the most spectacular sea views. With 3 bedrooms, 2 shower/bathrooms, it makes an ideal seaside retreat for couples and small families.
Simple styling, using oak and leather furniture, white painted kitchen units and contemporary bathrooms, sits comfortably against the backdrop of original features and careful renovation which make this cottage stand out. The external patio/terrace for sitting and dining is the perfect place to watch the harbour activity and the changing sea from sunrise to sunset with the familiar outline of Dunstanborough Castle in the background.

SMUGGLERS' HIDE, BEADNELL VILLAGE         Group B         2 bedrooms   Sleeps 4 plus 1 child (Plus space for 1 cot)

5 star graded by VisitBritain 2008

With its prime location opposite St Ebba’s Church in the centre of Beadnell village, this newly built stone end terrace epitomises coastal chic. This small and exclusive corner of the village is named Smugglers Cove – in the 18th century Beadnell was a favourite haunt of smugglers, evading customs officers to bring rum and gin ashore. Smugglers’ Hide is ideally placed for access to the beach, rock pools and the gin and rum of the village pubs! The interior is light and airy and the décor is a background of crisp white with splashes of original artwork and nautical quirks. Two beautifully furnished bedrooms, bathroom, open plan ground floor layout with small enclosed front garden with furniture and BBQ.

THE CRASTER RETREAT, CRASTER VILLAGE      GROUP  E        4  bedrooms    Sleeps 8 (plus space for 2 cots)

4 bedrooms,3 bath/shower rooms, sleeps 8 plus cots. Superb interiors and a sea view!
Ideal for large families, two families holidaying together, house parties, golfing & walking groups, girls groups, special celebrations and reunions.
This stone double-fronted cottage holds a prime position in the village of Craster with commanding views over the harbour. Its quaint period architecture belies the owners’ forward-thinking philosophy, evident externally from the solar panels on the roof, and internally from the stunning contemporary styling and the presence of so many 21st century luxuries. Ideally placed for the well know and highly respected walk from Craster village to Dunstanborough Castle - one of the best coastal walks in the country!
This are delighted to be opening the Craster Retreat in time  for the peak summer  holidays. The  house is still  undergoing  refurbishment  but promises to  be  finished in time! We have peak summer school weeks currently available

Quality in Tourism/VisitBritain assessments 2008

All of our properties have been awarded a 5 star grade by VisitBritain for 2008. We are absolutely delighted!

New child friendly grading system introduced

All, apart from one, of our properties welcome children and babies. Most can provide a cot, highchair and other baby equipment, but many of our cottages, owned by ourselves or our owner friends who have children, provide a range of things to entertain children from toy boxes, books and dressing up boxes to garden play equipment and games rooms (great for big kids too!) In short, some are more child friendly than others!

In order to help you make a more informed choice of property for your holiday, we have our own star(fish) rating system for child-friendliness ranging from 1 to 3. Whilst no two cottages have exactly the same facilities, they all fall within the parameters set by the following categories:

 3 STARFISH

These properties are suitable for children of all ages, have their own private garden space, some outdoor play equipment and some, even a games room

MOO HOUSE, THE GRANARY, NOOK END, DRIFTWOOD, MARINER’S, SMUGGLERS’ HIDE, THE HEMMEL, CRASTER RETREAT, GARDEN COTTAGE

 2 STARFISH:

These properties are equipped with games, toys, children’s DVDs, dressing up box and such, but may lack a garden and perhaps are more suited to those aged children who don’t need an enclosed space with swings etc

GLEBE COTTAGE, FISHERMAN’S RETREAT, SEAFARER’S, HARBOUR MASTER’S HOUSE

 1 STARFISH:

These properties welcome children but have no private garden or limited outdoor space and as such may be more suited to either babies or older childrenTHE PLAICE, BUDLE BAY PENTHOUSE

These ratings are intended as a guide but if you have a specific question or need please feel free to discuss this with us.
