Still searching for true peace at Christmas?
If you're absolutely fed up of all the hassle and agro that a 21st century Christmas can bring, then it's not too late to give us a call and arrange a retreat from it all, whether it be coastal or country. We are already taking bookings from some very organised guests for next year but we do have some availability for various party sizes over Christmas 2009.

Pastures new for Coastal and Country Retreats
With the business developing over the past couple of years, we have outgrown our old office and are now in our newly refurbished and much more spacious premises in Gosforth, Newcastle, just off the High Street.
From the other end of the telephone, (our numbers remain the same) business will run just as usual but for anyone living or visiting more locally, you will notice a restyled shop front with furniture and fixtures very much echoing the contemporary styling of some of our cottages. Visitors will also find local contemporary artwork for sale, some coastal inspired interior accessories and books and cards with a coastal and country feel. We are a stockist for Tectura wallcoverings and can arrange a consultation on request to discuss your interior ideas

Exciting New Properties
We have been busily working behind the scenes to find some new and exciting properties for 2010 for both our Coastal Retreats and Country Retreats collections.
On www.countryretreatsuk.com we are delighted to offer a real getaway from it all for couples (with room for a cot) in the North Durham countryside but only 20 minutes from the centre of Newcastle. The Old Paper Mill has recently been renovated, in an idyllic woodland setting with walks from the doorstep and has scored very highly with its first guests.
On www.coastalretreats.co.uk, Craster Rocks is exactly what it says - on the rocks at Craster -and offers up to 6 guests the chance to watch the changing seascape all day long from the comfort of a sleekly styled property with some funky retro touches. Views to the north of the iconic Dunstanburgh Castle
In North Yorkshire, another Country Retreat, Spring Cottage will take its first guests from March onwards. Sleeping up to 4 adults and 2 children with a beautiful garden, this stylish stone cottage will make a wonderful family or couple's retreat.
