Ocean Leisure Club for guests of Northumberland Coastal Retreats
Admission charge applies of £5 per adult and £2 for children from 2-16 years. For those guests staying at Coastal Retreats@The Viking apartments, there is unlimited free access to the Ocean Club
If surfing in the sea is not on your wish list, perhaps a dip in an indoor pool or hot tub is!
We have a corporate membership at the brand new private Seafield Ocean Club in Seahouses and have arranged special rates for our guests. The club is only open to members and not to the general public.
It is an ideal wet weather venue or as a place to relax after a day on the beach!
Please note that children must be supervised in the pool at all times, regardless of how confident they are in the water! The ratio of children to adults is 2:1.
You will find an Ocean Club brochure, terms and conditions, beauty treatment price list and the club pass in a file in your cottage upon arrival. Please keep the pass safe and remember to take it with you (one per guest) when you use the club. Please return the pass to the file before you go home!
The following admission charges will apply when you visit.
Admission charges to Coastal Retreats guests (at any time of the day, for any length of time). Please note however, that children are not allowed entry over the lunchtime period or in the evenings (you will find the exact times on the timetable in your cottage). If you thought you may like to use the Ocean Club every day of your stay, it may be more cost effective to purchase a weekly pass for £20 per adult and £10 per child over 2 years of age

For those with children and babies, you'll find the club to be very child friendly and hopefully will prove to be a great place to take the family, knowing that the club welcomes children of all ages and has designed the pool area and the changing facilities with little ones in mind! They even run a kids aqua fit class!
Particularly nice child friendly touches include, the beautiful children's pool next to the main pool, the play pen in the pool area and also in the changing room, nappy changing facilities, supply of plastic bags for wet swim gear, children's meals served in the cafe/bar, use of high chairs etc.
The club is also fully DDA compliant making it fully accessible for those with limited mobility, for wheelchair users and disabled guests.
Facilities include pool, children's pool, steam room, sauna, spa, gym, beauty and alternative therapy centre, cafe/bar, private car park, outdoor seating, aqua fit and pilates classes.
Free broadband WiFi access from the cafe bar. Why not treat yourself to breakfast, read the papers and attend to any e-mails from your laptop?

We have negotiated special prices for these customised packages and we feel they represent excellent value for money. We have had many of our guests celebrating birthdays, weddings, reunions etc, book a day of pamper treats and all have been exceptionally complimentary about the Ocean Club and have really enjoyed the indulgent treats! If there are a few of you in your party then the Club can even organise a very reasonably priced champagne buffet lunch for you.

The air conditioned, state-of-the-art fitness suite at the Seafield Ocean Club boasts a wide variety of top-of-the-range equipment by Technogym. The machines here are suitable for everyone. They include advanced equipment designed to enhance all round fitness and cardiovascular function, as well as resistance machines to tone and strengthen muscles in your legs, arms, shoulders, chest, stomach and back. The Club also has free weights up to 22kg and two abdominal cradles.
Pool and Spa
The superb 20 metre pool at is 1.2 metres deep – perfect for a safe and relaxing swim. A separate children’s pool makes the Ocean Club the ideal family swimming venue. Special children's splash times are organised regularly. There is a superb spa area with a relaxing sauna, a revitalising steam room and a spa bath.
Health and Beauty
The Health and Beauty Suite at the Ocean Club offers you the perfect retreat where you can spoil yourself to your heart’s content. Staffed by trained therapists, the Health and Beauty Suite offers a rich variety of treatments including facials, massage, waxing, grooming, manicures, pedicures, seaweed and mineral based packs and wraps, and so much more. Whether you’ve worked up an appetite in the pool or fitness suite, or you just want to enjoy a quiet chat over a cup of coffee, there’s plenty to tempt you. Choose from the snacks menu including salads, sandwiches and paninis, as well as homemade goodies such as flapjacks and scones. Coffees include cappuccino, latte and traditional, and of course tea, soft drinks and bottled non-alcoholic beverages are also served. Children's snacks are available along with high chairs. There is free wifi access in the cafe, creating an ideal place to relax, drink coffee and check your emails
