We can offer short break holidays whenever possible, even during the school holidays!  It is of course, much better value to book for 7 nights but we recognise that some of our guests may have limited holidays to take or may just simply prefer to take short breaks.

Short breaks over a weekend start on a Friday and finish on a Monday (3 nights). For those opting for a mid-week short break - start your holiday on a Monday and end it on a Friday (4 nights).  This is the same price as a weekend break. We don't offer any reductions for shorter stays as we don't like to ask our staff to work Sundays and its difficult and costly to organise changeovers on days other than Fridays and Mondays. Many weekend guests will book for the weekend and then leave late on the Sunday night to make the most of the holiday.

We normally have our holiday cottages ready for you from 4.30 pm and departure time on your last day is normally 10 am.  We do try to be a bit flexible with these times, especially for short break bookings.  Please let us know when you book, what times would be ideal for you and we will try to accommodate your needs, adjust cleaning schedules and the like.  It's not always possible but we will try our best to fit around you!  

Many guests booking a short break at our cottages in Northumberland, normally return within the next 12 months for a longer stay.  There is just too much to see and do in Northumberland to be able to fit it all into a short break!
