How to work out the prices for each property

We have 6 categories of properties (Group A - Group F) plus 2 categories for Coastal Retreats @ The Viking (Group Y - Group Z). The prices are set according to the size, location and facilities of the property. These prices may change from time to time according to demand

We have 5 categories of prices (Low, Mid, High, Peak and Xmas/New Year).

We offer short breaks at all times apart from Christmas/New Year weeks.

If you have stayed with us before and we have a booking made under your name, we can offer you a 5% discount off all of our prices for bookings of 7 nights or more. Please call for a special code if you wish to make your booking online - this code will automatically give you your return guest discount

Please note our prices can change from time to time.  The price quoted at the time of bookings is the price you will pay, even if we decide to increase/decrease the price of the holiday in the meantime.

Prices

Our prices are fully inclusive, so you won’t be asked to take any meter readings or to bring your own sheets!  As five star homes, our prices include everything. On top of this, you’ll find the cottages to be exceptionally well equipped, so you won’t have to bring the kitchen sink!

The prices include all fuel, including logs for the fire (if your cottage has a log burner), bed linen and duvets, towels, afternoon tea tray with Northumbrian cake, lovely designer toiletries to use or to take home, complimentary copy of ‘Living North’ magazine and a decent bottle of wine chilling in the fridge.  You are also invited as our guests, to use the facilities at the new private Ocean Club in Seahouses.  At a specially reduced rate (£5 per adult, £2 per child, babies under 2 have free admission and there is free parking) you can use the pool, children’s pool, gym, sauna, hot tub and café at any time of day. Ideal as a wet weather retreat or as a place to chill out after a day on the beach!  As Coastal Retreats guests you will also be entitled to specially negotiated beauty treatment packages - superb deals at very reasonable prices.  For our guests staying at our new Viking apartments in Seahouses, there is free unlimited access to the Ocean Club.

Payments

We accept credit and debit card payments over the phone!  Alternatively, we can take credit card payments on line. We can accept a cheque payment for a final balance payment, although we are phasing out the use of cheques. We do levy a 3% surcharge on credit card bookings (4% for American Express transactions) in order to cover the charges imposed on us by the credit card companies but THERE IS CURRENTLY NO CHARGE FOR DEBIT CARD PAYMENTS.  

Short Breaks

Although most of our guests do book for a full week, increasingly we are starting to see an increase in the number of guests booking short breaks with us.  Short breaks can either start on a Friday and finish on a Monday (pay for 2 nights and get your third night FREE!) or start on a Monday and finish on a Friday (pay for 2 nights and get the further 2 nights FREE!).  Weekend and mid week breaks are priced the same.

When making a booking with us, the short breaks must start on either the Friday or a Monday.  Arrival time is normally 4.30pm and departure time is around 10am.  However, we try to be as flexible as possible and will try to give you as late a time to check out as is convenient to our cleaning teams.  For the Monday departures, we can normally arrange a late morning or lunchtime check out.

Optional extras

We can provide you with several extras, some of them at no charge.  When you are making your booking on-line, you will be prompted at the end to let us know if you would like any of these optional extras and if there is a cost involved, this will just be added to your total balance.  These extras are as follows:

Bouquet of flowers  £35

Selection of groceries from Food Local Food   £100

Selection of cakes, biscuits and puds from All things Delicious  £75

Case of organic wine (12 bottles)   £100

(We will ask for a cheque for these extras or a separate credit card transaction)
