The first of the many properties proposed to us for inclusion in the collection are now ready to receive holidaymakers and we anticipate that the Country Retreats portfolio will grow steadily over the coming year as renovations are completed. Please bear with us while the selection of cottages grows as we are carefully handpicking the best of owner managed rural and inland properties in the Northumberland, Durham and Yorkshire areas - this will take time!

Our Beach House is stunning! This unique coastal beachside house has been fully booked all summer and has recieved great reviews from some of our regular guests). In the shadow of Bamburgh Castle and within walking distance of Bamburgh village and Bamburgh beach, this 4 bedroom, 3 bath/shower room is ideal for large families or two families holidaying together. Its private landscaped rear garden is accessed from the patio doors in the large kitchen/dining room and has a patio area for outside eating and large childrens timber play equipment with swings, slide and monkey rings. The interior design scheme features exactly what you would expect in a 'beach hut' - lots of stripey nautical references, funky Ralph Lauren wallpapers, white tongue & groove boarding, chrome lanterns, stripped timber flooring and some appropriate coastal planting and landscaping.
Craster Rocks, Craster..... This impressive 3 bedroom 30's house stands in a prominent position overlooking the sea and the rocks at the start of the walk up to Dunstanburgh Castle. Funky, modern, light and seaward looking, this cottage sleeps 6 and we are taking bookings from now onwards. Named after its location overlooking the rocks at Craster, but quite happy to convey the message that Craster really does rock!!!

Holiday Nanny specialises in providing high calibre nannies to accompany families on their holidays - in the UK or Abroad.
The agency has an extremely high selection standard for nannies and a thorough interviewing process - only a small percentage of nannies who apply to the agency are accepted onto the register.
All nannies have a minimum of 1 year's childcare experience. They speak fluent English and all have an up-to-date enhanced CRB check and a first aid certificate. We check all references thoroughly and relevant qualifications are verified. The agency only selects nannies who have demonstrated a high level of professionalism.
The agency goes out of its way to find nannies who have an extra dimension, and then seek to match their talents to the holidaying family - sporty nanny, creative nanny, musical nanny, dancing nanny, etc. Amongst our inspiring nannies are PE teachers, swimming instructors, drama and dance teachers and even a national figure skating champion!
We have nannies who have experience with children with special needs and we also have highly qualified maternity nurses.
The agency runs a totally confidential service and all nannies sign a confidentiality clause.
Please mention Coastal Retreats when making an enquiry
