Why we love it? The owners of Nook End added a small ensuite shower room to the double bedroom last summer, ensuring there is no fighting for the bathroom from now on.
Quayside

Why go? Beautiful sunsets from the open plan living space and balcony. Excellent seafood from the harbour restaurants and yummy ice cream from Spurrelis.
Why we love it? Quayside is all about the views with its prime position overlooking the marina and is close to the flourishing scene at Amble’s harbour.
Seasalt

Why go? For a relaxing family break, just one mile from Beadnell beach. Seasalt has both private and communal gardens where children can kick a ball or play on the swings.
Why we love it? While Seasalt may be slightly set back from the coast, it still retains a seaside feel with distant sea views from the kitchen window seat and a light and airy Scandinavian design throughout.

The Lodge@Shirewater

Why go? The Lodge is within 15 minutes’ walk of Embleton Bay with its silvery sands and iconic views of Dunstanburgh Castle. Its grounds are equally impressive with five acres of land to explore including a river, orchard and woodland.
Why we love it? It is private and secluded. Perfect to truly get away from it all. Plus, it is really spacious which is unusual for a couple’s cottage.
The Old Gardener’s
