During your stay, there is a Sainsbury’s and Morrisons in Alnwick and a Co-op in Seahouses and several independent shops where you can purchase local produce. We recommend the following:

L. Robson and Sons – home of the famous Craster kipper. Haven Hill, Craster.

Meat, Bread, Fruit and Vegetables

R. Carter & Son – known as the Bamburgh Butcher and renowned for its sausages, bacon, pies and sausage rolls. As well as a full range of meat, it also sells fresh bread and takeaway casseroles and curries. Front Street, Bamburgh.

Turnbull’s – a family butchers in the centre of Alnwick with a deli and bakery, which expanded in 2019 opening a new food hall in Taylor Drive. The food hall has a traditional butcher, seasonal vegetables, hot and cold food to go plus much more. Market Street and Taylor Drive, Alnwick.

Trotter’s Family Bakers – home baked bread and delicious cakes at locations in Alnwick, Amble and Seahouses.

County Durham

For breaks at The Old Paper Mill  there is a Tesco Metro and a Co-operative in the village or a large Asda store at the MetroCentre Shopping Mall in Gateshead. For Number Nine, nearby Knitsley Farm Shop has a butchery, bakery and deli or there are several major supermarkets a short drive away in Lanchester and Consett.

The Scottish Borders

During your stay at Waterfront, there is a Morrisons, Tesco, Aldi, Asda and Marks and Spencer in Berwick upon Tweed.
