Pet Friendly Cottages
Holidays need not mean a couple of weeks of boredom in the local kennels for your four-legged friend, but rather an enjoyable break along the coast or in the Northumberland countryside.
Be inspired by our collection of dog friendly cottages on the Northumberland coast in the popular destinations of Craster, Beadnell, Bamburgh and Seahouses.
Already know where you’d like to stay? Then head to our full list of pet friendly cottages.

Out and about in Northumberland
All of Northumberland’s beaches are dog friendly, except on Ross Back Sands during the seabird breeding season from May to July. Dogs are also welcome onto land at one of the Farne Islands, Longstone, although they are not allowed in the lighthouse. At Bamburgh Castle, they are permitted in the grounds.
Please ensure you keep your dog on a lead in protected landscapes and around livestock.
