Characterised by its rocky coastline, the fishing village of Craster, with its harbour and smokery, is also home to the iconic ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle. The breathtaking silvery sands of Embleton Bay lie just beyond this 14th Century ruin and are home to many species of wildlife. A little to the south is the pretty village of Alnmouth with its colourful houses, shops and eateries, two golf courses and lovely stretches of beach.
