Craster Retreat

Style: Traditional fisherman’s cottage for eight with 21st Century luxuries

Location: Overlooking Craster harbour

For kids: Great location for playing in the harbour sands, crabbing in the rockpools and running free en route to the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle

For adults: Log burner for evenings in with a glass of wine and in walking distance of gastro pub The Jolly Fisherman when you have no desire to cook.

Style: Terraced farm cottage with a coastal inspired decor

Location: In the small hamlet of Swinhoe, just a short drive from Beadnell beach

For kids: Fabulous children’s room with galley bed, private lawned and communal garden with football goal, Wendy House, trampoline and table tennis. A selection of DVDs, games and a dressing up box

For adults: Piece of mind that the children are being entertained while you enjoy your coffee from the Dolce Gusto machine by the log fire. In excellent proximity to major attractions, beaches and places to eat

The Old Ale House

Style: A former ale house renovated with a mix of upcycled and contemporary pieces

Location: In the hamlet of Dunstan, 10 minutes walk from Craster

For kids: An enclosed courtyard garden and an easy walking distance to the sea at Craster

For adults: Let your cares drift away in the freestanding, claw-footed bath, snuggle up by the log burner, or try your hand at the owner’s favourite seafood recipe on the wall of the dining kitchen

The Deck House

Style: Striking New England clapboard beach house

Location: Metres from Beadnell Bay

For kids: The accessibility of the beach reached via communal paths down to the shore and the triple bunk-bedded room

For adults: This new Retreat has a glamorous beach feel to it where you’ll enjoy staying in as much as you’ll like going to the nearby sands
