Prices and Availability
Bamburgh is arguably the most famous settlement on the Northumberland coast with its castle visible from miles around overlooking the wide, sandy shoreline of its beach. Positioned just north of Seahouses , and south of Berwick, its period buildings and interesting shops are popular with its visitors, as are its wealth of eating out options.
Bamburgh Five sits among other apartments in private grounds in the shadow of the castle and close to village amenities. Within Bamburgh itself are one or two gift and antique shops, pubs, restaurants and tea shops. The old church is central to the village and the famous Grace Darling Museum attracts visitors with its story of maritime heroism. The local tennis court is just paces from Bamburgh Five – pick up the keys from the Victoria Hotel. It is advisable to book ahead in the summer and during Wimbledon weeks.
Situated next door to another Coastal Retreat, Bamburgh Six. When booked together, they can sleep up to 10 guests.

An ideal holiday retreat for a small family or two couples holidaying together. The village location makes it ideal for holidaymakers wanting to use their legs rather than the car or even stay put and enjoy the castle views. Ideal for those attending weddings at the castle.
Children at Bamburgh Five
With a 2 starfish rating this apartment welcomes children but has no specific facilities other than a toy box of dressing up clothes. We can provide a travel cot (please bring your own cot linen) and high chair on request. The property is all on the ground floor and the communal garden provides welcome play space although it does not have outdoor toys or equipment. Ball games are not permitted on this communal lawn but are allowed on the adjacent huge cricket field. The Bamburgh children’s play park and tennis court are only a minute’s walk away.
Full central heating with underfloor heating in the bathrooms.

Set in communal grounds with one designated parking bay but additional cars must take their chance on visitor parking spaces being available or park nearby in the village. You have a private dining terrace but barbecues are not permitted in the grounds.
We also ask guests to be aware that this is a ground floor apartment and that noise may occasionally be heard from the apartment above and this is very much dependent on the individual and is a characteristic of apartment living.
The twin bedroom has wardrobe space in the hallway and not in the bedroom although there is a chest of drawers.
Be aware that mobile reception is almost impossible in Bamburgh.
