Amble marina

This is no ordinary quay to be beside! Amble’s burgeoning marina life makes this quite ‘the place to be’ if you want to grab a slice of the sea views, boating activities and the lively cosmopolitan café culture building up around the water’s edge.

Quayside is exactly as the name suggests, directly overlooking the water, the yachts and fishing boats. As a first floor apartment within a striking-looking contemporary building, it commands attention from the start. Step inside and the light and airy space draws you in and towards the vast views which take the eye from historic Warkworth Castle to one side, over the boats and then out to sea.

A contemporary gloss kitchen with cooking island and breakfast bar means you’ll be amply catered for, when you don’t choose to sample some of the increasingly-rated restaurants within easy walking distance of the apartment. A spacious living area with large leather corner sofa offers plenty of space for relaxing and taking in the views. And with as many bathrooms as bedrooms, this offers some truly excellent holidaying space for up to four guests.

Right by the side of the marina in this bustling boat lovers’ town, Quayside takes guests right into the heart of marina life. You can watch all the boat activity from the comfort of the balcony or living room – that’s if you’re not actually taking part yourself! Shops, cafes and restaurants aplenty are within walking distance, so you could park your car and forget about it. Boats sail to Coquet Island, which is known for its seabirds, daily in the summer months from the pier, just a few minutes away from the apartment.

A short drive away is the lovely village of Warkworth with its historic castle, art gallery and shops. Alnmouth with its lovely beach and golf courses is a little further north, 10 minutes by car, and the villages of Seahouses and Bamburgh are around 25 minutes away by car.

Children at Quayside

Children are welcome at this apartment but there are no special facilities for them and no outside space other than the balcony. Older children may like the fact that they can walk independently to the very close by boutique ice cream parlour. A travel cot (please bring your own cot linen) and highchair are available on request.

Who needs St Tropez when they've got Amble? I've got so used to the lovely lifestyle afforded by this apartment that the next visitors had better check each and every cupboard to make sure that I'm not still here!!!

The view is incredible. The apt. Is so comfortable and well equipped. The welcome pack was of quality and the cakes and marmalade just a treat. It is amazing how the little extras make a difference. The personal note too !
It poured down for two consecutive days but the tv, WiFi( cricket) ,games, mags, books and jigsaws with a great view was not a problem! Fabulous week within Amble

We have generally stayed in the Bamburgh/ Beadnell area in the past and fancied trying somewhere a bit different. Amble was a good base to explore and has a number of really nice restaurants (Sea and Soil, Jaspers, The Boat House). The apartment was beautiful; really nicely decorated, very well equipped, with lovely views over the marina. It was handy being able to walk to the restaurants and having the Tesco Express, Co-op and petrol stations close by.
We previously stayed at Beadnell Beach house about 10 years ago and have loved both the properties and the service we get from you.

Kept well informed by Coastal Retreats, particularly about the measures to safeguard against COVID-19 and a more flexible approach to payment in the current conditions. The website was easy to navigate and very useful.

Love Amble and the surrounding area, so much to see, lots of birds and great beaches to walk along
