Don't be fooled too much by the traditional cottage name, Rosebud. Yes, it is full of English rose charm, but this holiday home close to the Northumberland National Park packs designer pieces, bold contemporary colours and a relaxed luxury ambience into its lovely old Northumberland stone cottage shell - add in the roses in the garden for that touch of romance that every old cottage deserves, and we have a property with real up-to-the-minute appeal.

With its beautiful exposed roof trusses and rural location, Rosebud is a charming two-bedroom cottage just 20 minutes drive from Bamburgh and the coast. But what is most striking about its location is its proximity to the National Park with its unique dark sky status. Think uninterrupted views of starry nights from either of Rosebud's two gardens and the chance to see the Northern Lights at certain optimal times of the years.

Inside you'll find generous spaces for a family of four or a couple looking to unwind and explore the region and lots of interesting homely and personal touches. There are countryside views and walks all around, including the popular St Cuthbert's Way walk, and close by are the villages of Chatton with its gastro pub and Belford with its farm shop and deli.

Reviews and Ratings
Our cottages are graded according to how stylish they are and how welcoming they are to children.

To assist you in finding the perfect place to stay, we have awarded our cottages a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum style rating. This is based on our own standards and the award is given according to a mixture of criteria - location, aesthetic appeal, standard of luxury, facilities offered and style factors.
For example, a Platinum award goes to our most stylish and all round exclusive properties and a Bronze award may go to a cottage that may be a little less refined in places but still meets the high standards necessary to fit into the collection.

It is suitable for children of all ages and includes an enclosed lawned garden, toys and children's books.

What an amazing stay! It was just perfect for us and our young children (1 + 4). My four year old son in particular was extremely grateful for all the wonderful toys and jigsaws. Everything we could have hoped for!

Idyllic. A sanctuary from the fast paced activities surrounding last weekend - our wedding! The perfect place to reconnect with ourselves, each other and the beautiful Northumberland countryside and beaches.

This has been the best holiday I've ever had. The cottage was styled to suit our taste, there were many sweet, thoughtful touches and our children (1 & 3) were well catered for and welcome here.

It was gorgeous and not so far from the coast. We thought it was going to be more remote but we did the journey in the car to Bamburgh , Craster and Seahouses almost every day and it was nothing really. It was always nice to come back to Rosebud in the evenings. Recommend the Sunnyhills deli and restaurant at Belford. We went there four times in the week!
