Description

Two bedrooms and bathrooms make it ideal for couples holidaying together as well as families, plus the addition of Netflix, a Nespresso coffee machine and underfloor heating throughout mean every kind of comfort is taken care of. On the doorstep, you’ll find a delicious ice cream parlor and some of the region’s best seafood restaurants. You can also head north along the River Coquet to Warkworth with its medieval castle and dune-backed beach.

The apartment was lovely and warm all the time , light and airy. Bathrooms were exceptional and good quality toiletries. Location is brilliant, right I the cetre of town but not hindered by tourists. Plenty of great places to eat and good food delivered, although kitchen well enough equipped to cook ourselves. Will definitely be back next year, with our 2 dogs, who loved the balcony.

Very nice apartment in a very good location. Very comfortable - our only mini-gripe was the lack of a decent size cafetière for those of us who don’t use coffee-machines! Very likely to book it again.

Excellent property and was just as described. Two minor comments - no Nespresso machine (there is an espresso machine) so useful to simply update that in the Info plus having feather pillows would be nice (versus for) for such a high quality apartment.

Location

Right by the side of the marina in the bustling boat lovers' town of Amble, The Nelson takes guests right into the heart of marina life and lies directly above another Coastal Retreat, Quayside. You can watch all the boat activity from the comfort of the balcony or living room - that's if you're not actually taking part yourself! Shops, cafes and restaurants aplenty are within walking distance, so you could park your car and forget about it. Boats sail to Coquet Island, which is known for its seabirds, daily in the summer months from the pier, just a few minutes away from the apartment.

A short drive away is the lovely village of Warkworth with its historic castle, art gallery and shops. Alnmouth with its lovely beach and golf courses is a little further north, 10 minutes by car, and the villages of Seahouses and Bamburgh are around 25 minutes drive away.
