The Summer Edit: The Beach Pad
Beautiful Retreats in unforgettable locations for the Summer
The Beach Pad is a high-end surf shack-styled apartment, sleeping four, with retro and contemporary furnishings and a fun, relaxed summer vibe. Wake up to sea views from the bedroom and spend the evenings enjoying those very same views from the lounge. Close to the beach, sea and village, this is a stress-free getaway.
Cooling off spot
On the patio at the front of the apartment is a good shady spot, with the cooling coastal breeze, and some amazing sea views.
Quench your thirst at…
The Olde Ship Inn. An authentic nautical pub with a raised beer garden overlooking the harbour.
Grab a bite to eat at…
Elan Pizzeria for artisan pizzas, salads and pastas. So good you’ll want to return.
Don’t go home without…
Taking a boat trip out to The Farne Islands. You’ll get to see grey seals, many seabirds and if you’re lucky, dolphins.
Rainy day tip
Take advantage of the private leisure club membership that comes with your Retreat and enjoy a swim at the nearby The Ocean Club. A small entry fee applies.
Insider knowledge from owner Fiona McKeith
One of my favourite things to do is to go for a gorgeous seafood meal at St Aidan’s bistro ( just a minute’s walk away), followed by an evening walk along Seahouses beach to watch the sun set over Bamburgh Castle.
