Prices and Availability
A quiet farm hamlet location, rural in nature but just minutes from the coast. Several holiday cottages have been converted from stone former farm buildings, giving the hamlet a community feel, very popular with families.
If you happen to look at Tughall Steads on google earth, please note that the apparent ‘airstrip’ shown nearby was last used in 1948!
For further information on the area, see our Tughall Steads section
Please note: This house is a family owned holiday home and as such is unsuitable for holding large parties. Small gatherings are, of course, welcome but no ‘open house’ please! Tents, hot tubs and mobile homes on the property are not permitted. Please refer to our Large Group advice list for further information.

Arrival and Departure
Arrival: 4pm ( 3pm from Nov-March)
Large family gatherings, groups of friends, posh hen parties, walking parties. The house has regularly hosted several generations of the same family for special birthdays or wedding anniversaries.
Moo House qualifies for our highest 5 starfish rating in terms of child-friendliness with its 2 gardens, swings and outdoor toys, books and dressing up box and, of course, The Cow Shed Games Room where children will happily play for hours! There are numerous games, toys and dressing up clothes for indoor entertainment and a TV/DVD in the children’s room. A travel cot (please bring your own cot linen), highchair and stairgate are available on request
There is full oil central heating and a logburner in the lounge. The Cow Shed has electric wall heaters.
Please note: Whilst we take great care to represent our properties and their facilities as accurately as possible, the décor, furnishings and facilities shown in images and video tours may occasionally be subject to minor change.
The Cow shed games room is superb and ideal for summer use. It has wall mounted electric radiators but not full central heating, so in the winter, you need to put the heaters on for about half an hour before use. It’s not attached to the house so if its raining, you will get wet running the 10 paces from the back door of the house to the games room.
The play garden, with swings etc, is also 10 paces from the back door so you may want to keep your toddlers in the small garden off the kitchen if you want to watch them while preparing dinner!
The living room is a good size but may seem ‘cosy’ when full of 12 adults!
Once again we thank you for our "extended family" holiday in Moo House. This is the second time we have hired Moo House and our third rental with you
Everything was first class as usual -a real home from home. We loved the changes you have made to the kitchen and the bathroom in the main bedroom. Our German grandchildren like to call it their second home!
The four grandchildren, English (5 and 2yrs) and German (16 and 13yrs) loved the cow barn which was well used after long walks on the beautiful beaches! Two of the party used the bikes to cycle in to Beadnell each day for the Telegraph. We had coffee/late breakfast around the seating area in front of the kitchen and adults and children enjoyed the swings and trampoline! We were so lucky that we had wonderful weather and could return to such a comfortable and well equipped property after the days activities. Your company really deserves the accolades that you have received from North east tourism. An example of your company's attention to detail- we were short of two towels for the children but we had a quick response to our call and towels arrived pronto!
I should mention that we had Fiona Burn to cater for us on the last evening. This was a great success- wonderful food, good portions, friendly helpful service, coffee served in the lounge and the kitchen left clean and tidy. We can thoroughly recommend her
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making our stay at Moo House such a wonderful, memorable one. From the moment we stepped foot into Moo House, we knew the weekend was going to be a very special one! The lights and heating were on which made for lovely warm welcome, but better still, wine and pile of double-chocolate chip muffins were awaiting us in the kitchen!
Moo House was everything I had hoped for and more for my Hen Weekend. Every one of my guests thought it was wonderful, relaxing and a beautiful place to stay. Every room felt special in it’s own right, and the kitchen was the perfect venue to host our tapas meal. The fabulously comfy sofas were perfect when we wanted to chill out and chat, and the Cow Shed was fantastic! Never have we had so much fun playing pool whilst listening to a friend tinkling the ivories on the electric organ – such fun
I can't think of a thing we would've changed about it - even with a couple of days of rainy weather the children were more than happy to 'hang' in the cow shed; we all had a great time
