Why Coastal Retreats, by SANCHIA

Published: Thursday 18th Oct 2018

Welcome to Coastal Retreats.

We’re not your usual kind of holiday cottage agency. We’re a small, family run company and see ourselves as that friend at the end of line who can advise you on the best place to stay for you, recommend our favourite places to go, help you organise a special occasion during your holiday or be someone to call if, by some chance, things go awry.

But don’t just take our word for it.

Meet Sanchia

Sanchia is part of our bookings team, helping you to find the perfect choice of Retreat, and looking at how we can improve the guest experience, using your valuable feedback. She’d like to tell you what she thinks is one of the perks of holidaying with Coastal Retreats.

‘Our guests are important to us, we certainly don’t forget about you once you’ve paid for your booking, or after you’ve departed from one of our Retreats. Once a guest, always a guest! So much so that we are constantly looking at ways in which we can make the booking process easier, your stay more comfortable and perhaps most importantly ensuring we act on your feedback.’

Sanchia’s tip

‘One of my favourite perks has to be our Retreats Treats programme where we seek out some of our favourite Northumberland places and secure discounts for our guests when they are staying with us. After all, who doesn’t love a discount! We regularly update these to respond to what guests enjoy, making sure we always have some of the ‘must-go-to places’ on our list. Among our partners are the likes of Bamburgh Castle, The Alnwick Garden and a couple of the boat tour companies for The Farne Islands who have been with us from the start, and we have just signed up two new companies; Box.Pizza, a pop-up pizzeria in Swinhoe, near Beadnell, and Graze and Gorge luxury food platters.

‘Once you’ve booked with us you get access to our partner offers in your online account so you can make restaurant reservations in advance and plan your holiday itinerary. I like to think of it as our way of sharing with you what we love to do in Northumberland, as well as being a no-strings-attached treat as a thank you for holidaying with us.’
