A minute’s walk from the sea and close to the harbour, restaurants, shops and golf course of this buzzing fishing village, Seafarer's is a traditional cottage with a distinct arty feel in the old quarter of Seahouses.
A lovely base for a holiday due to its proximity to some of Northumberland's main attractions - The Farne Islands and Bamburgh Castle - Seafarer's has the hallmark Coastal Retreats attention to detail and styling apparent in the light open-plan ground floor living space with wood-burning stove. Its owners, who work in the arts, have selected some of their favourite artworks for the walls, and a guitar and accordian are there for those of a musical bent. Bedrooms have views over the rooftops and caravans towards the sea, rocks and harbour and the flexible sleeping accommodation of the third bedroom with its double and single beds makes it ideal for a number of children to share or a family group. A true home-from-home retreat.

Extra linen and towels (charges apply)
Allocated parking for one car (on street parking for additional vehicles). No garden or patio, but there is a bench outside the front door to sit and watch the world go by.
A caravan park is within sight of the front door so may not be everyone's cup of tea, but you are central for all the other amenities. The decor is more friendly and homely than plush and designer.
Mobile reception is almost impossible at Seafarer's and in Seahouses in general.
Whilst we take great care to represent our properties and their facilities as accurately as possible, the décor, furnishings and facilities shown in images and video tours may occasionally be subject to minor change.
With no private outdoor space, Seafarer's is less suitable for toddlers but older children will love being so close to the beach and Seahouses' shops, crazy golf and amusements.
We liked the cottage, it had everything we needed and was centrally located. Additional items like board games, dvd’s and books were a good addition.
We were miss sold this holiday!! We only chose it for Ocean club access… this cottage had it , …. Advertised as did But NO , it doesn’t this year apparently But company had failed to remove this information !!! Ruined our holiday Company messed us around all week They admitted error
The battery in the fire alarm was beeping, when we arrived, as for low battery ( I bought and changed it as we could not stand the noise). When I tried the out of hours number it was not ringing (tried with landline and mobile) The wardrobe rattled every time we walked in the bedroom and could not fix it. otherwise had a great stay.
Very well equipped, and extremely clean and comfortable. Ideal for 7 of us. Within walking distance of shops and close to harbour. Lovely art work throughout.
Good all round cottage , only downside was access roads poor
A great location within easy reach of Seahouses . The property was very clean and comfortable and was well stocked with everyday essentials . However we did ring before our visit to see if there was any beach equipment in house and told there was not any . When we arrived after buying wind breakers for the beach we found that there was equipment for the beach including wind breakers in the garage . Car parking was okay but was a bit problematic in busy periods. In summary a great location and a lovely well kept property and would certainly look to stay there again .
Car parking was inadequate. Property sleeping 6 will almost certainly require space for 2 cars. Street parking in Seahouses is a nightmare.
The property is a lovely holiday home from home with everything necessary provided. We have stayed many times and will definitely be back.
A pleasant property in a good location helped us have a lovely week in Seahouses.
Very spacious and comfortable home from home cottage. Close to harbour, beach, shops and restaurants. Might be a problem if you have two cars as only private parking for one, Union Street can get a bit congested with parked vehicles!
In the old quarter of Seahouses, Seafarer's is centrally located just to the south of the harbour and within easy access of the beach for building sandcastles and rock pooling. Boat trips from the harbour give way to island adventures at The Farnes with their unrivalled views and opportunities to glimpse local wildlife; puffins, terns, osprey, grey seals and occasionally dolphins. Back on shore, there's a range of restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes, not forgetting the obligatory ice cream and fish and chips. Don't go home without popping into Swallow Fish smokehouse to enjoy their smorgasbord of fish and seafood.
