This coastal-meets-tropical-styled, marina-view apartment has everything you may need for a relaxing break by the sea. Part of a recently built contemporary apartment building at Amble's waterfront, The Nelson has a soulful feel, bringing the outside in with its lush greenery and stripped-back wooden furniture.

The open-plan living space of The Nelson overlooks the water while outside there are spectacular sunset views for dinner on the glass-fronted balcony. Two bedrooms and bathrooms make it ideal for couples holidaying together as well as families, plus the addition of Netflix, a Nespresso coffee machine and underfloor heating throughout mean every kind of comfort is taken care of. On the doorstep, you’ll find a delicious ice cream parlor and some of the region’s best seafood restaurants. High quality apartment in an idea spot. First time in the area. We had a great holiday.

Mr G,

Superb views from the living room. Comfortable living accommodation. Location excellent for exploring the Northumberland coastline. No shower gel, shampoo, coffee pods for the Nespresso m/c, salt and no extra bin bags or tea towels, so be prepared to bring your own.

Mr W,

It was a fantastic apartment. Home from home, well Equipped and with a fabulous view to enjoy in good and bad weather! The floor heating was a super comfy bonus! :)

Mrs S,

The apartment was lovely and warm all the time , light and airy. Bathrooms were exceptional and good quality toiletries. Location is brilliant, right I the cetre of town but not hindered by tourists. Plenty of great places to eat and good food delivered, although kitchen well enough equipped to cook ourselves. Will definitely be back next year, with our 2 dogs, who loved the balcony.

Mrs W,

Lovely touch of a bottle of Prosecco and 6 cupcakes, which were yummy!!

Mrs B,

Great apartment if you enjoy spectacular views and bird watching from the comfort of your own balcony.

Mrs D,

Very nice apartment in a very good location. Very comfortable - our only mini-gripe was the lack of a decent size cafetière for those of us who don’t use coffee-machines! Very likely to book it again.

Mrs Gillian O,

Excellent property and was just as described. Two minor comments - no Nespresso machine (there is an espresso machine) so useful to simply update that in the Info plus having feather pillows would be nice (versus for) for such a high quality apartment.

Mr Richard S,

Absolutely fantastic

Mrs Helen M,

The standard of accommodation is second to non locality to everything is wonderful will be back again next year.

Mrs Joan C,

Right by the side of the marina in the bustling boat lovers' town of Amble, The Nelson takes guests right into the heart of marina life and lies directly above another Coastal Retreat, Quayside. You can watch all the boat activity from the comfort of the balcony or living room - that's if you're not actually taking part yourself! Shops, cafes and restaurants aplenty are within walking distance, so you could park your car and forget about it. Boats sail to Coquet Island, which is known for its seabirds, daily in the summer months from the pier, just a few minutes away from the apartment.

A short drive away is the lovely village of Warkworth with its historic castle, art gallery and shops. Alnmouth with its lovely beach and golf courses is a little further north, 10 minutes by car, and the villages of Seahouses and Bamburgh are around 25 minutes drive away.
