Terms and Conditions
The hamlet of Tughall Steads is a collection of converted stone farm buildings and is mainly made up of holiday homes. The houses are surrounded by open countryside and a five-minute drive will take you to the beach at either Beadnell or Newton by the Sea. It is ideally situated for access to Bamburgh to the north and Craster to the south, as well as being located close to our other cottages, The Wood Store and Moo House, if you are wishing to holiday with a larger group.
If you happen to look at Tughall Steads on google earth, please note that the apparent 'airstrip' shown nearby was last used in 1948!
For further information on the area, see our Tughall Steads section.

Reviews and Ratings
Our cottages are graded according to how stylish they are and how welcoming they are to children.

To assist you in finding the perfect place to stay, we have awarded our cottages a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum style rating. This is based on our own standards and the award is given according to a mixture of criteria - location, aesthetic appeal, standard of luxury, facilities offered and style factors.
For example, a Platinum award goes to our most stylish and all round exclusive properties and a Bronze award may go to a cottage that may be a little less refined in places but still meets the high standards necessary to fit into the collection.

It is suitable for children of all ages and includes a first floor children's bedroom with small alcove with bean bags and cushions, an indoor games room with pool table and TV and a large enclosed private garden with outdoor table tennis table.

Loved the spaciousness of High Mill. It meant we never felt on top of each other as we all had our favourite nooks and seating areas.

We have had such an amazing holiday, due in part to the lovely weather, the superb scenery, the fun we had on the beach most days but mainly due to the comfort of this gorgeous house. We felt at home from the moment we arrived and really didn't want the holiday to end.

We all had an absolutely wonderful week celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Splendid accommodation and facilities, particularly for our grandchildren who had a ball with all the toys and games.

We've just come back from a three night stay at High Mill for a hen party and what a fantastic place. An incredibly spacious high spec property that accommodated eight of us comfortably. Blessed with beautiful weather we were able to enjoy the local golf courses before returning to our cottage for the evening. Three bathrooms were perfect for us, comfy beds and peaceful surroundings - we had a ball.
